Our goal is to work alongside you, support you and help you create a healthier and safer environment for the children in your care.
So, who is Lolo Lockie? 😊
I’m the owner of Care For Kids Nursing Consultant, LLC, a Registered Nurse (RN), and a Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC). For more than five years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside local preschools, child care centers, and elementary schools throughout the Denver Metro area—and I truly love what I do!
But my journey in Early Childhood Education started long before nursing. I spent 18+ years as a preschool Director, and ECE has always been a huge part of my heart. When I stepped away from administration, I decided to explore another passion and worked as a CNA on the Mom/Baby Unit at UCHealth, as well as in home care. From there, I decided to pursue my Nursing Degree and obtain my RN License.
I knew going into nursing school I wanted to work with children, and I discovered—I missed the ECE world! So, becoming an RN and CCHC was the perfect way to bring my two passions together.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
Children have always been at the heart of what I do. I’m passionate about advocating for their health, safety, and well-being and making sure they are surrounded by caring adults who are prepared to meet their needs. I believe in creating safe, nurturing environments where children can learn, grow, and simply be kids. My goal is to support the amazing people who care for them and be a resource they can count on along the way.
As a mom of six kids, (and 2 beautiful granddaughters), I know just how important it is for children to feel safe, loved, and cared for—and how important it is for parents to know their children are in good hands. I bring that same perspective to my work with child care programs. I’m passionate about supporting the people who care for children and making sure health, safety, and well-being are always part of the conversation. My goal is to be a resource, an advocate, and someone your team can count on.
I would be honored to become a part of your team and work alongside you and your staff to support the health, safety, and well-being of the children in your care.
Because caring for kids truly takes a village—and I’d love to be part of yours!
What about the fees?
A CCHC (childcare health consultant) isn’t just required by the state, it is also a unique resource to help support you as you walk this journey with each and every student. We want quality childcare health consulting to be something that is accessible and valuable to your program, which is why we work hard to keep our rates affordable (and under all of our competitors).
Our program partners with Quickbooks Online. This makes it easy to see your invoice details as well as pay online.
-
Monthly nurse consultant visits are typically done in person. These visits are planned a month in advance and we do our best to coordinate with you for a day and time that is convenient for you. Please be aware the scheduled times are approximate times! The monthly visits are $115. Late payment fee is $35.
-
After completion of MAT part 1 on PDIS, you are ready for part 2/3 with your nurse. This is done in person during our monthly visits. The cost is $50 per person for the full training/delegation and $25 if you are doing just asthma or just allergy training/delegation. There is no charge for any other delegation you may need (for example: seizure, diabetes, g-tube, etc)
-
Employee health statements are available to your staff for $20. These are quick and easy, and provided during our monthly visits.
-
Mileage is based on the current IRS rate. It is calculated based on how many schools were visited for that day and divided up - this cost very rarely exceeds $10 - it is typically anywhere from $4 - $8.
